Rider Down but Not Out?

Tuesday, 20 June 2006

Carolyn Jackson suffered a crash in a cross-country MTB race on Sunday 18 June, managing to break two ribs in the process. Coming off the bike on a slippery little bridge, Carolyn landed on the bike and narrowly avoided smashing her face on the rails.
As is to be expected with this kind of injury Carolyn is in a great deal of pain and her doctor has strongly advised against travel. Whilst riding at the world champs has not been ruled out completely with a last minute departure from Melbourne being considered, it is possible that Carolyn will not compete in Finland this year. Either way the travel insurance policy will be coming in handy. We are all hoping for a speedy recovery.
