Some photos from MTBO WOC so far

Thought it was time to add some colour to the blog...perhaps in more ways than one..
Here is our official team photo. We are clearly all very happy in our shell suits and looking pretty smashing, don't you think? Anyone wanting to know why Dave S is now known as Larry? Just look at the photo. He even answers to Larry now!

This is Tony checking out the finish area before racing the sprint race. He is always very thorough with his preparations and always looks this nervous before a race. But most importantly, his clothes are always the cleanest in the team.

Alex mixing it with some very big names in MTBO. This is the result board for the sprint race of course.

This is Darvo coming up the finish shute at the middle distance race. The commentator was saying something like: "Paul is the oldest comptetitor in the race. Paul you should not run if you want to get a good result. What? I don't believe it, he has still finished in 13th place!" (Note: 5 riders were still to come in with faster times).
Paul was running because his right pedal fell off with three short legs still to go. Those of us who know this think he is a hero, but most people still think he was running up the finish hill because he is a bourke.

This is me with my friend from the British Team, Andy, also known as the Hugh Grant of MTBO. I've known Andy since 1989 but haven't seen him for over 10years. We met on a charity bike ride around Britain. It is the most amazing coincidence that we have met up again here, and a great reunion.

Let me know if you want more... I'll see if I can get a good shot of Woodsie to put up. He was pretty disappointed to just miss out on the A final for the long race, but that was nothing compared to his disappointment when he found out that there was a B final that he has to race instead. That meant yet another night off the pop.
