A week in Czech Republic

Sunday, 5 August 2007

A very relaxing week has gone by in the Czech Republic. On the tourist side we visited Brno, the Moravian Kaast caves and the lovely Telc.

There was some training on MTBO maps, but for some of us the harder we tried, the more trouble we’d have. We were also out riding or running on some lovely marked forest trails. The area around our second base in Zharadky was really lovely.

Food highlight for me was the pork knuckle in Brno. Tony just can’t walk past an ice-cream shop. Dave’s highlight was the gulash and dumplings for $4 in the Blansko verson of an RSL. Alex and Paul just can’t stop buying the pancakes.

Today, finally, we arrive at the WOC area. No more training, no more preparation, what will be will be.
